Benson - age 18 - November 2003 (that's 126 human years!) Our toughest critic...

This product was developed in 1996 when my dog "Benson" fell deathly ill at age 11 with pancreatitis and jaundice.

Benson was on IV’s for six days and was sent home with little hope of recovery.

I began a regimen of vitamin and herbal supplements and healthy cooking for Benson. These cookies are the direct result of developing a nutritious, special treat for him. They have been taste tested by the pets of friends, neighbors and co-workers – all with overwhelmingly positive results!

Benson is now happy and healthy at age 18 and everyday he is with me is a continual blessing. The business has been steadily growing since 1997, but Benson is still my toughest critic, waiting for a warm cookie right out of the oven! Look for his "paw of approval" on every batch!

UPDATE

Benson passed away on December 31, 2003 at the ripe old age of 18 1/2.

He suffered from complications of canine senility syndrome or "doggie Alzheimer's", but he maintained his dignity right to the end as he died in my arms at home. To have him euthanized was a heart wrenching decision, but somehow I knew he was ready to leave me. Every day I had with Benson was a blessing and I will love him always.

His legacy and his spirit will live on through all of the dogs who love the cookies that bear his name. What a special guy he was! He loved his cookies every day and will quietly continue to be my toughest critic!
